Halcyon Energy Systems has teamed with a leading manufacturer of solar tracking and racking systems to provide the Helios Tracker 17’s. These dual axis arrays employs some of the industry’s most innovative tracking solutions. A patented Real-Time Sensing Technology is used to capture maximum production. The sensors guide our systems to the highest point of irradiance optimizing energy production. It instantaneously communicates with the tracker control box to make the necessary movement to face the array perpendicular to the sun.
The steel support structure is made to withstand high corrosive atmospheres and is 5-10 times stronger than conventional galvanized steel. Over 500 MW are installed using this technology in North America and over 1 GW installed worldwide for Utility Scale Solar Projects. Halcyon uses the 42-panel racking system that supplies 16,800 Wp of clean renewable energy. Connect the solar array to the Halcyon Power Electronics Package for complete off-grid capability. The Helios Tracker 17’s are ideal for supplying power to a neighborhood of homes where large electric requirements are expected and provides power capacity for pumping large volumes of water from deep aquifers in areas where water demand is high.
The 40 ft Hyperion Model W complements a mini power grid of four Helios Sun Tracking Model 17s. The battery bank, charge controllers and inverters for this system efficiently fit into the 40 ft Hyperion Model W. The solar arrays from the Helios Tracker 17’s and the 40 ft Hyperion Model W’s are combined to generate enough clean electric power to serve 40 residences. The containerized Hyperion Model W has the combined benefit of also offering maximum security and safety.
